Cumberland Riverwalk at McGregor Park
The McGregor Park is home to the internationally acclaimed Cumberland Riverwalk, the signature of the Queen City. For almost a mile in downtown Clarksville, Cumberland Riverwalk stretches along the picturesque east bank of the Cumberland River. The concrete walkway is stylish and well-designed with bricks and other ornamentation as accents, and lights line the path allowing for walking in the dark. The trail is open except for a line of eastern cottonwoods between the Riverwalk and riverside drive. At the south end of the Riverwalk stands a Bronze statue of one of the greatest Olympic athletes in America, Wilma Rudolph.
"As the River Flows" Museum
McGregor Park also has a permanent chronological exhibit of the river’s history showcased in its museum called “As the River Flows”. It highlights a 12-panel history of the Cumberland River and its importance to the development of Clarksville, now one the fastest growing city in the US. Admission is free.
